Interesting opinion. Spot on. They were great driving machines, but all had crap interiors, bugger all features, and honestly weren't that fast. The reason they're so revered is due to the tuner scene. These machines could be modified to make crazy power, which equalled much speed. But that's the point fanboys don't get - it was the tuners who made these cars legendary. Compare them stock to the M and Porsche cars of the time, and they're well behind.

Apart from the constant engine flooding, overheating, fuel consumption, oil consumption and general unreliability, yeah the RX7 was alright. R34 GTR over a dull M3 any day of the week. Tim Rodie.
